"An angle that we're using with the kids, is bringing in more career connections earlier because we believe that we have shown through our scholarship programs that college makes high school have some meaning. Oh, I've got to graduate from high school so that I can get to college, right? But what makes them want to work hard? And what makes them want to take more rigorous classes? And what makes them want to put some effort into what they do? So we're hoping that making career connections early for kids and helping them understand that there are so many things out there, that will help motivate them to take algebra in eighth grade, to be in pre-AP courses, to do dual credit in high school, and take advantage of the opportunities that are out there, not just because someone said so, but because there is a really clear personal goal that they have in mind."
