"What I want people to know about my project, is that GEAR UP is about people and it's about looking at people in a positive way. It's about looking at assets and not deficits. And building on those assets and as you build on those assets, you're also erasing the deficits. So, my project is about all of those treasures we have in our schools. The administrators, the teachers, the parents, for sure the parents, and the kids and not looking at them for what they don't have, but for what they do have, and using the assets that GEAR UP brings to the table, to build on that."
