Brief Description of Program:

There is strong emphasis on building student awareness about STEM career and degree choices. In collaboration with the UTEP College of Engineering, GEAR UP partners to provide students with enrichment activities in Math and Engineering, such as Engineering Extravaganzas and summer programs. Teachers have received professional development in building technology and mathematics skills through the UTEACH UT Austin Program and the Texas Instruments partner. The goal is to provide students with a rich and successful GEAR UP experience.
